In obedience to God, Abraham (symbolized by a knife), is called to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. Instead, God provides a ram caught in a thorny area to be the burnt offering. God promises the seed of Abraham will be multiplied like the stars in the sky.     The ark of Noah suggests the saving of the people of God.
